One of the very famous movies that have attracted the children in huge numbers to the theatre is "A Cinderella Story" which was directed by Mark Rosman. This blockbuster movie was released in the year 2004 and was one of the biggest money spinners during that time. Hilary Duff plays the lead role in the movie along with Chad Michael Murray. These two have played their parts to perfection. This movie boasts of excellent sound tracks like "Now you know" and "Our lips are sealed" which were instant hits.

At the beginning of the movie we see a young Cinderella i.e. Hillary Duff along with her father Whip Hubley who has fallen in love with Jennifer Coolidge. This fatherly love ends up in Hubley marrying Coolidge. But sadly, Hubley dies because of a disease leaving Hilary at the clutches of the wicked step mother and two step daughters. The plot is then set eight years hence and Hilary is a high school student now. But she is forced to work as diner in her father's coffee shop (this is now a liquor shop).

In the course of the movie Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray start to text each other frequently without knowing each other. One day Chad invites Hilary to the Halloween dance in order to meet her for the first time. Chad dumps Gonzalo and gets ready to meet Hilary on the Halloween night. But at the same time Hilary is forced to work by her step mother. Then Hilary's friend Regina King helps her get to the dance.

Both Hilary and Chad start to dance without knowing each other's identity. Right at that moment when Chad was about to uncover Hilary's identity, her cell phone alarm rings, reminding her that it was time for her to leave in order to escape from her step-mother's wrath. When she takes off, she accidentally drops her cell phone which is picked up by Chad. Later Chad and Hilary are named the "Homecoming prince and princess" because of their excellence in dancing. Chad becomes determined to find out the identity of his Cinderella with her missing cell phone.

Hilary finds Chad performing a school wide search for her but was not bold enough to reveal the truth to him. After some time, Hilary's step sisters find her emails and ends up showing them to Gonzalo. Together, they plan to humiliate Hilary and succeed in doing so. Hilary returns home sadly when her step mother hands her the rejection letter from Princeton University. Is this the end of the world for Hilary? Will she ever be able to connect with Chad again? I would rather stop here rather than explaining the full story or else the thrill and excitement in watching this movie is completely eliminated.
