Christian Books Online

I would love to be able to run my ministry on faith and fervor alone, but the truth is that the world doesn't work that way. Even if you're doing God's work, you have to do it in such a way that you can make ends meet. Faith sustains you, but not without brains. A modern ministry needs to cut costs wherever possible in order to stay financially self-sufficient.

Lately, cheap Christian books has been a big focus for us. We've been working on a literacy drive with the local community, and we wanted to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. I figured that there was no better opportunity to introduce people to the Gospel them through Christian children's books. By buying cheap Christian books and then giving them out to our literacy candidates,I hope I can inspire more people to consider converting to Christianity.

Of course even with cheap Christian books, quality matters as much as quantity. You really can't afford to buy Christian reading that doesn't give quite the right message. There are some denominations who have pretty radical interpretations of God's Word, and you really don't want to let these interpretations slip into your own Ministry or church. Personally, I always make sure to read the cheap Christian books myself before I pass them on to any students.

Nowadays the Internet has opened up a lot of new possibilities for ministries. Cheap Christian books are great, but putting your literature up on the Internet costs almost nothing. If you have a few people in your church who are web savvy, you can set up an online Christian reading room where members can go to study, pray, contemplate, and chat. Although it doesn't work for ministries in remote areas and is not the best strategy for literacy campaigns, it's great for online study groups. In our church, the Bible study group is linked to an Internet site with HTML versions of the passages we are reading. It is pretty great to see technology help so many people in their faith. To me, that is what being a modern ministry is all about.
