Read To Find Out Why I Was Stunned At The Content Of This NLP Hypnosis Course

By Ormond McGill

I am a Hypnotherapist of some repute and I have been interested in this area for over 40 years now.

I was recently contacted by one of my research people who had found an internet based product in July 2009 which seemed to be very good and she asked me if I would review it for her. Now first please allow me to explain that I pay this researcher (and another 8 of her colleagues) to carry out this type of work so that I can always stay informed about what is happening in the field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

Although I dont review many of other peoples material, when I do I like to be thorough and so I got to work.

I licked my pencil and snarled at the paper - if they were going to make me do this, then it had better be good.....or else...... So I started my investigation.

Well, I have reviewed this course and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of it and I found some difficulty in coming up with suggestions as to how the material could be improved and so I decided that this guy ought to have his read by anyone who was looking to learn hypnosis in a way that would maximise their experience. So this article is designed to simply let you know what my experience was and to give you my thoughts as a very experienced hypnosis professional to help you choose the best way for you to get into a trance experience.

I went to the site where this book was located and I first read the sales letter. I was quite impressed - I normally see a letter which is 5 blocks long and in this case it was much more succinct and I got through the text in about 5 or 6 minutes. There were some valuable free gifts on offer and the author (John Hill) was obviously skilled in the knowledge of his craft - I could tell by how he had thoughtfully collected his comments on his sales page. It was interesting to find that the free gifts were actually gifts that I thought people would want - 'Positive Thinking and Self Talk Tactics', 'Alternative Medicine' and 'Using NLP on Ebay'. Mmmmmm - I could see some people buying the course just to get the free gifts - that is quite refreshing.

John is quite an impressive character, he is an NLP Master Practitioner and a Master Hypnotherapist and clearly knows what he is talking about.

I came to the testimonials and I decided to send John an email asking for copies of these firstly to see if he would or not, secondly to see if they were really. John replied asking me what my intentions were and I replied telling him that I was reviewing his product. He responded by sending me copies of the originals and I could see that they were genuine.

It was obvious reading the letter that John was passionate about the subject and I could identify with this. I dont like dealing with people with no passion.

It seemed that John Hill was pitching his course at both beginners and existing professionals - now this is not easy to do as the two sets of people are at different ends of the experience spectrum - "this would be interesting" I thought.

I saw that John had a 100% product guarantee - now this is a very good sign. It told me that he was /confident that his product would do what he as claiming otherwise he would not earn a cent from his efforts. I do like that.

So, off I went and I purchased a copy and I was surprised at the $57.00 price tag. My heart sank - surely this was going to be re badged old ebook which you could buy on ebay for a couple of dollars. In fact, of the scores of hypnotherapy courses I have purchased over the years, I dont ever remember paying as little - ok "keep an open mind Ormond" - I told my self.

It was downloaded to me quickly and in PDF format (this stands for Protected Document Format ) - sorry for this lapse, if you didnt know what pdf meant then it probably means that you are Robinson Crusoe or something.

The first thing that I noticed was how well the book layout had been designed. People often think of ebooks as some sort of inferior product - this was not one of those. The book has 110 pages split up into 15 relevant chapters. I noticed that even the History of Hypnosis had been included which was a nice touch. John had managed to list a few specific interventions which was a new concept for me. One normally has to purchase these elements separately and so that was a nice surprise.

As I continued through the book, I was very pleased at the standard of the pictures and at how appropriate that they were in relation to the text. It is my experience that some people just throw any old picture into text to get it out and sold as soon as they can. As I read, I came across an amazing reference to 'Hypno Sleep'. I knew that this was a Dave Elman technique from many years ago and I just didn't expect to see this advanced process in such a book. Hypno Sleep is the most effective method of helping old people and children alike and was one of my personal little 'Secrets'. Try it for yourself, contact a hypotherapist or hypnotist and ask them about 'Hypno Sleep' - they won't know what you are talking about.

It took me a few hours to go through the whole book and overall I found it very well researched, beautifully illustrated and put forward in an easy to understand manner. In the interests of providing some balance to this review, I must admit that there is a negative element to my findings of this hypnotherapy course.

What do you think this was? Well, it was in fact the price. This is a product which I was considering selling to my own clients but I could not do so at such a low price - people would think that I had gone mad. I do sell courses myself and they are all over $1,000 so I do know what I am talking about.

I am considering approaching John Hill and asking for some kind of joint venture but I could not do it at this price and I do not think that he should either. It is my intention to contact John and recommend to him that he increase his price to a minimum of $597 - this is what I consider this book to be worth.

So, my recommendation to John will be to increase the price of this course immediately. My recommendation to you is that if you want to learn about both NLP and hypnosis, then you need to buy this course - it will give the a very fast and in depth experience of how we hypnotherapists work. Finally, even if you only get to hear of this course after John has increased his price (and I am only assuming that he will do this of course) then it will still be money well spent.

Well done John Hill on producing a really sound and conscientious introduction into the wonderful world of learning hypnosis. This book is destined to be a best seller and long may it remain on the top of the list.
