Luckily, the Obama administration understands the importance of a good education to keep America competitive in the global landscape. The federal government has initiated numerous fresh programs to help working parents and those worthy of an education who just can't quite afford it.

One such program is the working mother's Scholarship for Mom's program. For qualified applicants, the program provides up to ten thousand dollars per year to help defray the cost of education for working moms.

The program is designed to assist working mothers get a better education and subsequently better jobs. Although the program is not perfect, it should help immensely.

Women who have small children and work full time face huge challenges with education. Because of this, programs like this new scholarship system should help a lot. These women face challenges day after day and anything that can aid support them as they progress their lives should be applauded. That is the purpose of this scholarship program; to help working women better support their families.

Qualified applicants to the scholarship program receive support through Pell Grants. The program aids in the cost of education for an appropriate university or institution and is available to most working female parents.

Although not free to the tax payers, these grant and scholarship programs serve a crucial purpose to help working parents increase their income, and subsequently, increase their overall social and economic contribution to the nation.
