There are many scholarships for girls available that can be used for undergraduate study. Many of these scholarships are specifically for those that are in high school or within their first few years of college. Searching specifically for scholarships for girls is a great way to increase your odds of receiving a scholarship. Make sure you look at all possible places, universities, online, books, organizations, foundations and more.

If you are female and 18 years of older then Calgon offers an essay contest. For females that are 27 and younger then women's travel magazine has a national essay scholarship. CosmoGIRL! Of the year scholarships are for those between the ages of 11 and 25. High school juniors and seniors can apply for the national foundation for women legislators/National Rifle Association Scholarship.

For those between the ages of 12 and 18 there is a scholarship available from Girls Going Places, and for those women that play golf and are high school seniors the Women's western golf foundation offers a scholarship. Exclamation fragrance requests that you answer a question for a chance to win their make a statement scholarship. This scholarship offers up to $3, 000.

Any girl that is studying public policy in the graduate or undergraduate level the Pedro Zamora public policy fellowship is available. There are many scholarships offered from the American Association of University Women.

There is a scholarship from Google, the Google Anita Borg scholarship for girls in their final year of high school. Those interested in Women's studies can apply for the Pergamon NWSA scholarship. There are also many scholarships available from the American Association of University Women.

The Miss USA program offers scholarships for those that take part of their program. There are national honors scholarships for those in the national honors society in high school. There are also scholarships available for those depending on your ethnic background and parents association. There are sports scholarships available as well as extracurricular activities. You need to think outside of the box and apply for anything that you can.

Other foundations and associations that offer scholarships for girls include prizes in many different fields such as scholarships for women engineers, scholarships for those in the field of mathematics, technology scholarships, fellowships and grants available for girls that may not have directly entered university after high school and even a scholarship from Sony for any girl that want sto go into game design.
