Cotton American Flags

It is nice to see how American flag are displayed outside the house. But do you know what the American flag is made out of? Usually, cotton American flag are being manufactured. And cotton gives a very bright display of colors and the red and white stripes really stands out.

Back in the days, cotton is the chosen material for American flag. Though, there are disadvantages to using cotton. The color fades as it is exposed from the shifting weather and other elements such as dust. So, now manufacturers search for a better material that can stand harmful elements.

Today, cotton American flag is still displayed but mostly inside the house. This will keep it from being torn and faded. If it is displayed outside, there is a huge chance that it will not last very long.

Also, exposure to sun gives a different effect to it. The bright colors will eventually change to a more softer one. It will require you to change over and over again when it looks old already. For sure you do not want to have a fading and torn American flag because this represents how you value your country and being a proud citizen.

There are simple ways to take care of cotton American flag. The first thing you do is to keep it inside the house. Do not let it dust and cobwebs sit on it. Always use mild soap when washing it so that the color stays.

If it gets a little torn, you can fix it. It's one way you can show how you care about your country and your beloved flag and how it means a lot to you. It shows reverence and how proud you are of being an American citizen.

If you want to display the American flag outside your house then you can look for other materials aside from cotton. There are those that are made out of nylon which is more durable for outside use.
